British Market Research Bureau

Our environmental commitment

As one of the UK's leading market research agencies, BMRB are committed to running the company in a way that is safe for the environment. This commitment has resulted in a company-wide environmental policy.

BMRB has signed up to the Mayor's Green Procurement Code. Along with over 500 other of London's businesses, we have made a commitment to identify opportunities for buying recycled content products and recycling waste.

We have signed up to the top most level (B2) of the Green Procurement Code.

Key initiatives have so far included procuring recycled paper and envelopes, and encouraging a cycle to work scheme.

Dedicate a Tree

Your survey will be the start of something big...

BMRB, in partnership with the Woodland Trust, provides a tree dedication to every organisation that commissions a new BMRB Omnibus survey.

In addition, any client who completes BMRB's Client Satisfaction Monitor (CSM) survey will have a tree dedicated to their organisation.

By February 2008 we had dedicated over 600 trees.

In April 2007, Karl Mitchell (director of fundraising, Woodland Trust) said "BMRB are the first Market Research organisation we have partnered with in this way and we are delighted that more and more businesses are adding tree planting schemes to their CSR programmes. This is particularly important when you consider that we lag way behind the rest of Europe when it comes to woodland cover. Just 12% of the UK is covered by woodland, compared to the European average of 44%. We ambitiously aim to double woodland cover in the UK by planting millions more trees for the benefit of both wildlife and people."

Andy Brown, chairman of BMRB added "we feel this is a very worthwhile investment as it gives a tangible benefit to our clients and provides the lasting legacy of woodland for all. The issues around climate change and sustainability are becoming increasingly important for the market research industry."
