Graduate Trainee - Research, TGI Surveys

The TGI Surveys unit of 12 people is the front end of the TGI product. It is the leading provider of single source media and marketing surveys. Its’ family of research products cover an ever-widening spectrum of population specifications and geographies.

The unit offers a wide variety of services, ranging from question formulation and design through to developing ways to encourage respondents to complete the questionnaire and working with statistics to ensure the best offering to our clients.

Purpose

To undertake all research and administrative tasks related to the design and control of TGI surveys.

Key Result Areas

  • To ensure the successful passage of TGI projects through departments
  • To monitor the research end of individual projects in relation to schedules and quality control
  • To work internationally with client service teams and fieldwork suppliers based in France, Germany, Spain and the UK.
  • To deliver databases that provides clients with up to date insightful information on brand and media consumption and attitudes.

Job Description

  • Design and modification of questionnaires and field documents
  • Liaison with TGI Client Service teams internationally and within the UK regarding potential changes and development of questionnaires
  • Producing response analysis reports and recommending any appropriate action
  • Evaluation of data consistency and validity
  • Monitoring of and adhering to project schedules
  • Providing TGI Client Service with insightful reporting of TGI data.
  • Assisting in the overall
  • Assisting in the overall improvement and development of TGI projects

Qualifications and skills

  • 2:1 class degree
  • Good A levels or equivalent
  • Grade B in Maths and English Literature at GCSE level
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to plan ahead and prioritise
  • Logical approach
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of working in a research environment is an advantage but not essential
  • Experience of various French markets (ranging from FMCG to media coverage) as well as fluent French both written and verbal will be a significant advantage Disposition
  • A positive, mature attitude
  • Practical common sense as well as intellectual capability
  • A genuine interest in Media and brands
  • Ability to juggle and handle many tasks at once
  • Ability to work internationally and sensitive to localised needs.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to respond to deadlines
