Social Surveys

BMRB Social Research has a team of over 40 researchers specialising in the design, management and analysis of quantitative social surveys. Within our team we have some of the most experienced practitioners in the industry, comprising both ‘home-grown’ researchers and those who have come to BMRB via the public sector or other social research organisations. Our research teams are supported by our Survey Methods team, which offers specialist sampling and statistical input.

The work we are asked to do – whether small or large in scale, quick turnaround or long term - typically involves complex design issues and challenging fieldwork assignments. Clients come to us with these types of projects, because they know we can be trusted to come up with creative and robust solutions to difficult research problems and that we will deliver what we promise. As a result of this, we have worked on some of the most prestigious and demanding research studies in the UK, including:

  • The British Crime Survey (Home Office)
  • The Crime and Criminal Justice Survey (Home Office)
  • The Longitudinal Study of Young People in England (DfES)
  • The Survey of Homeless Families and 16-17 year olds (DCLG)
  • The First National Survey of People with Learning Difficulties (DH)
  • The Taking Part Survey (DCMS)
